Vertical and horizontal positioning of the hyoid bone was measured in CT (mm). The x-axis was defined as the line tangent to the inferior point of the sella turcica and parallel to the FH plane, while the y-axis was defined as the line passing through the nasion and perpendicular to the x-axis
